1945-2015 Billy Ray Dykes was born in Hemphill, Texas on September 8, 1945 to Gladys and Daniel Dykes. He passed away on October 17, 2015 surrounded by family. Billy was a long time service advisor for car dealerships; however, his favorite times were spent collecting antiques and running the roads. Just last month he was able to fulfill his dream of cruising down Route 66 with an old school friend. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janina Mathis, sons Darrin Dykes and Brandon Dykes along with wife Saray, daughter Cindy Dykes, stepdaughters Katrina Mathis and Tara Roth along with her husband Justin, his brother Danny Dykes and his wife Carolyn and sister Dianne Livingston and her husband Sam Livingston. A gathering to celebrate Billy's life will take place at Colony Creek Community Church, 7555 Highway 6 South, Missouri City, Texas 77459 on Saturday, October 24th at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to New Beginnings Ministries, P.O. Box 4040, Port Arthur, Texas 77641.
