Bonice Mae McBride, 81, of Kirbyville, Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father February 25, 2013. She was born March 11, 1931 in Kirbyville to Albert and Vadie West. She walked daily with her Lord and Savior serving Him and countless others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt and friend. Bonice was a long time active member of Central Baptist Church, Kirbyville. She was active in the Eastern Star serving for many years and served as Worthy Matron and Esther. She enjoyed quilting, working in the garden and flower beds and especially cooking for family and friends. Bonice was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Howard West, Harold West, Juanice Lumpkin, Bernice Grimes and son Jerry Ware. She is survived by her husband, Fred McBride; sons Bernard Ware and wife Cindy of Lumberton; Larry Ware and wife Sheila of Mauriceville; Craig Ware and wife Carol of Orangefield; Andy McBride and wife Sharon of Loudon, NH; daughter-in-law Starla Ware of Beaumont; daughters, Pam Davids and husband Robert of Silsbee, Gail McCoy and husband Courtlyn of Mansfield, LA; sister Mary Smith of Highlands, TX; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery.
