Buster Turner, Jr., 91, of Beaumont, TX, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital. Buster was a World War II Army veteran and was a retired Beaumont Police Officer, with 32 years of service. He was also a member of the American Legion Dorie E. Miller Post 817. Buster will be missed by his daughter, Daisy Turner Brooks; grandson and his wife, Bruce and Kia Rideaux; great-great niece, Danys Mares; and a loving host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by wife, Lorena Teta Turner. Celebration of Life services for Buster will begin on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the funeral home, with a visitation from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Additional services will be on Friday, March 22, 2013, at Sunlight Baptist Church at 1275 Cedar St. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Veterans National Cemetery in Houston, TX, under the professional care and direction of the staff of Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel.
