1924 - 2015 A Celebration of Cade Robert Leach, Jr.'s life, age 90, of Burkeville, TX, will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27th at The Burkeville Baptist Church with Masonic and Military Honors to follow at Ford Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin's FM 1414 Chapel in Burkeville. A native of Wiergate, and a former resident of Beaumont he was a longtime resident of The Toledo Bend Community and was a longtime member of the Burkeville Baptist Church. He served 5 years with the U. S. Army achieving the rank of Staff Sargent and received 3 Bronze Stars and numerous other medals in WWII during his service in the European Campaign. After 38 years he retired as an outside plant supervisor in 1986 with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. A 68 year member of the Grand Lodge of Texas, Cade was a former past Master at the Newton Lodge #136 AF & AM in Burkeville, TX where he was the oldest member at the time of his death. He received The Golden Trowel Award in 1997. He was also a longtime member of The Order of The Eastern Star Chapter #291 in Jasper and a past worthy patron at the former Wieragte Chapter. Cade was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed traveling, taking in Historical Sites along with hunting and fishing, his family will miss him dearly. The Family wants to express their appreciation to Harbor Hospice for the love and care they provided. Cade is survived by his wife of 67 years Betty Woosley Leach of Burkeville, TX; four sons Cade Robert Leach III and wife Sherrie of Burkeville, TX, Craig Barton Leach and wife Martha of Lumberton, TX, Jessee Ralph Leach, Sr. of Burkeville, TX, Timothy Wayne Leach of Lufkin, TX; seven grandchildren Dr.Jennifer Leach Smith of Granbury, TX, Craig Allen Leach and Thomas Garland Leach both of Lumberton, TX, Jennifer Burton of Jasper, TX, Jessee Ralph Leach, Jr. of Fairfied, TX, James Russell Leach of Nacogdoches, TX and Cade Robert Leach IV of Paso Robles, CA and Nine great grandchildren. He was also survived by a host of other family and friends. Cade was preceded in death by his parents Cade Robert Leach, Sr. and Arcay Hughes Leach, brother Jessee Hughes Leach and two sisters Dixie Leach Butler and Opal Leach Simmons.
