1949 -2014 Carol Lynn Crabtree Olexa, 65, of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Carol was born on January 31, 1949 to her parents Cecil and Emma Lou Porter Crabtree who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband Dan Wentworth. Carol was a lifelong resident of the Beaumont and Lumberton areas and was an Administrative Assistant with R.C. Group Incorporated of Beaumont. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 17, 2014 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be on Monday August 18, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. Surviving Carol are her sons, Ken McKinley, Jr. and his wife Amber of Buna, Chris Olexa and his wife Kimberly of Lumberton, sister Cindy Bowers and her husband Jay of Vidor and seven grandchildren. Possessing a true mothers heart, Carol Olexa was not only mom to Ken and Chris but served as Mom to many. Her home was always filled with a welcoming spirit. Carol was a very kind and gentle soul; She had a loving and generous heart, and always giving to others. She was an animal lover and took in almost any animal that needed a home. Carol loved the beach and was always ready to go fishing. She will be greatly missed by her sister, brother-in-law, sons and their families along with her seven grandchildren. Her family will continue to keep her spirit alive through the loving memories shared with her.
