1936 - 2015 Carolyn Jane Carr Attaway, 78, of Plano, Texas went peacefully home to heaven February 23, 2015 ending her battle with cancer. She remained active until the final days of her life. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on December 7, 1936. She was a 1955 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur and attended Lamar University. She married Farrell Attaway of Port Arthur in 1957 and led a full, happy life. She loved her family, her home, her dogs and her plants. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Alva Carr, brother James Buster Carr, and sister Rie Swanzy, all of Port Arthur. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Farrell Attaway; children Ann Erickson and her husband Marc, Brett Attaway and his wife Araceli, all of Plano, Texas; and Brian Attaway and his wife Julie of Round Rock, Texas; and grandson Austin Attaway of Round Rock, Texas; and brother John Carr and his wife Pat of Katy, Texas. She leaves her family a legacy that reflects honesty, integrity, love for family, and conservative American values. Some of her happiest days were the last 12 years living in her Plano home with her husband, Farrell, and dogs Jack and Lilly.
