Charles Joseph Caskey, M.D., 84, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, peacefully at his home. He was born on July 10, 1928, to Janie and Malcolm Caskey, on a farm in Florence and was the oldest of six children. Chuck, alias (Chuckbaby), was a man that loved what he did, and did things the best he could; he shared life with those he loved, and loved many. Chuck loved God, hard work, a good joke, a cold Shiner Bach, nature, learning, history, and good friends. His constant wit made us think and made us laugh. He will be missed. Chuck is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Caskey; children, Jim Caskey and his wife, Ann; Gordon Caskey and his wife, Lisa; and Christie Piercy and her husband, Lawrence; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five siblings. A gathering of Dr. Caskey's family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2012, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 4090 Delaware Street, Beaumont. His committal will be at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Some Other Place, P.O. Box 843, Beaumont, Texas 77704; St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 4090 Delaware Street, Beaumont, Texas 77706; or to a .
