Charlotte Jordan, age 70, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at her residence in Alvin, Tx. Charlotte was born on June 17, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas, but grew up in Pineland, Texas. She was a resident of Alvin for 7 years after relocating from Beaumont, Texas due to Hurricane Ike. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Texas Prison system, but most recently worked as a Private Duty in-home Caregiver. Charlotte was member of First United Methodist Church of Alvin, and very devoted to serving others in the community. She was active at Alvin Church of the Nazarene and Lighthouse Christian Ministries. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; Herschel and Carrie Jordan; grandparents, Jesse and Carrie DuBose, Andrew and Sarah Jordan; sisters, Bettie Bernard and Beverly Lowenstein; brother, Bobbie Herschel Jordan. Charlotte is survived by her loving daughters; Suzanne Dedman and husband Bryan, Nichole Toalson and husband Brandon; granddaughters, Heaven Leigh Castillo and Alexis Toalson, 4 nieces, 8 nephews; numerous other relatives and a host of caring friends who will miss her dearly. Charlotte will be remembered for her generous heart and giving nature. She was kind to everyone and always put others before herself. She touched lives too numerous to count, so she can now go in peace and sleep with angels. Pallbearers: Bryan Dedman, Brandon Toalson, Johnny Bernard, Jay Bernard, Walter Kahler and Adrian Sambrano. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 2, 2013 at Scott Funeral Home.
