Charlotte Lindsey Huerta, 61, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Charlotte was born September 13, 1951 in Sour Lake, Texas to Ollie Lindsey, Sr. and Estelle Bandy Lindsey. She was a resident of this area for 40 years and was employed as a correctional officer at Larry Gist Unit for 13 years and also as a nurses-aide at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. Survivors include her husband, Marcus Huerta of Groves, TX; sons, William Armstrong of Port Arthur, TX, Jaime Martinez, Jr. and wife, Tiffany of Port Arthur, TX; she was also a caring mother to Rachel Chiles, Jeffery Lindsey, Michael Matheny and Toni Gher; three sisters, Lavon Freer of California, Verda Capps of Florida, Eddie Fancher and husband, Jerry of Mauriceville, TX; four brothers, Jake Lindsey and wife, Wilma of Thicket, Doug Lindsey and wife, Kathy , Truman Lindsey ,and George Lindsey all of California; two grandchildren, Tanner Armstrong and Emery Martinez. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Reverend Les Jacobson officiating. Visitation of family and friends will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
