Charlotte R. Barth, 94, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at HavenCare in Longview. A resident of Beaumont for seventy years, she was born on October 4, 1917, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Isabella Carr and Harry Simpson Ducott. Charlotte was the church secretary at St. Mark's Episcopal Church for forty- nine years. During these years she enjoyed working with many rectors and associate priests beginning with Rev. Charles Wyatt- Brown to Rev. Richard Dick Elwood. Survivors include her sons, William Charles Barth, Jr. and his wife, Alice, of Crystal Beach; and Harry Elliott Barth and his wife, Jan, of Longview; grandsons, William Barth and his wife, Caris Hurd, of Austin; and Tim Barth and his wife, Julia, of Houston; granddaughters, Erin Whitehurst and her husband, Jeremy, of Longview; and Becky Mustachio and her husband, Jason, of Houston; great- grandchildren, Jacob Whitehurst, Zachary Barth, Charlotte Barth, Ellen Barth, and Georgia Mustachio; and niece, Isabella Baca and her husband, George. A gathering of Mrs. Barth's family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77701.
