Clarence Jones, 64, of Beaumont, TX, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at his residence. A native of Pt Arthur, TX, he is a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1966. Clarence diligently served his country through the U.S. Navy, receiving several military honors. After his military career, he worked in the medical profession as a LVN and CRT. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and George Jones, Sr.; brothers, George Jones, Jr., Wallace Lyons, and Ivory Lyons, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jones; daughters, Christy (Billy) Romar and Kizzy Jones Mitchell, both of Pt. Arthur, Tamika (Corrie) Frank, and Natosha (Kenneth) Coleman of Beaumont; sons, Tigee and Jerald Jevon Rideaux, both of Beaumont. He also leaves behind a loving sister, Dorothy Broussard and brother, Robert Jones, both of Pt. Arthur; along with six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 16, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 675 College, Beaumont, followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be Monday, June 18, 2012, at Houston National Cemetery, under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
