1938 - 2016 Donald Ray Egan, age 77, of Vidor, Texas, passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Services for Donald will be held in the chapel of Dorman Funeral Home Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 P M. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A M - 2:00 P M in the chapel at Dorman Funeral Home with an interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the funeral service. Donald was born in Center, TX on Friday, September 19, 1938 to the late Eva (Furlough) and Harry Egan. He was a resident of Vidor for the past 20 years and a lifelong resident of Orange county. Donald worked for many years doing construction work for Millwright Union 2484. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, going camping and sitting around the fire. Donald loved sports. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul Egan Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jackie Egan; his two sons, Leonard Egan and his wife, Dawn, and Rusty Egan and his wife, Macey; his daughters, Donna Haure and her husband, Chuck, Christy Gallien and her husband, Randall, Dana Reyes and her husband, Steve, and Lacy Allen, who he loved as his own daughter; his brother, Doug Egan and his wife, Jeanette; his sisters, Latance Burch and Johnnie Jones and her husband, Johnny Allen; He had 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Honoring Donald as Pallbearers are Ken Leach, Patrick Leach, Kyle Gallien, Charles Haure, Jr., Ronnie Thomas, and Michael Broussard; Honorary Pallbearers include Doug Egan.
