1926 - 2016 Donna Ruth Lock Nelson Trammell, 89, of Kirbyville, TX, passed away peacefully January 6, 2016. Her death was a result of COPD. She was born in Sillsbee, TX on December 9, 1926 to Alton and Jessie Lock. Donna grew up in Kirbyville and graduated from Kirbyville High School and attended Mary Harden Baylor College. She married Edward Louis Nelson of Port Neches, Tx, in 1946, where she travelled, living in Brazil for five years and lived in Houston, TX for 31 years. Upon retiring from Ingersol Rand where she worked as an office manager, she returned to live the remainder of her life in Kirbyville, married a second time to James Carroll Trammell, was a member of the GFWC Women's Civic Club of Kirbyville, and worked for the Jasper-Newton Electric Co-Operative. Upon retiring from the Co-Op, she spent her time traveling with friends, reading, and cross-stiching, winning several medals. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Ruth Nelson of Kirbyville, grandchildren, Jason Edward Arebalo of Houston, and Jessica Ruth Reynolds and husband Brian, great- grandchildren, Nathan James Reynolds and Noah Luke Reynolds of Pasadena. Funeral Services will be, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11 am at the United Methodist Church of Kirbyville, with visitation from 5 pm to 7 pm, Friday at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville, TX. Interment will be at 3 pm at Zavalla Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas. The family would like to thank all of the support of friends and Harbor Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Donna.
