Doris Edwards Obituary

Doris (Autrey) Edwards, 84, of Huffman, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009, at Conroe Regional Medical Center. She was born June 9, 1925, in Georgetown, La. to James and Bernice Autrey. A long time Texas resident, she was a loving mother, grandmother and member of Humble Area's First Baptist Church. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Wallace, brother; James Autrey; sister, Elaine Bordelon; and grandson, Michael Allen Edwards. She is survived by son, Don Edwards and wife Janice, of Montgomery; daughter, Jamie Porter and husband Tom, of Huffman; brother, L.V. Autrey and wife Lucille, of Shreveport, La; grandchildren, Jason Edwards and wife Ellen, Jennifer Magruder and husband Danny, Stacy Pool and husband Bruce, Tracy Youmans and husband Duke, and Angie Belaire and husband Steven; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Ethan Edwards, Ty and Taylor Youmans, Jathan and Adisyn Belaire, and Avery Pool. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service time of 12:00 Noon, Monday, June 22, 2009, at Humble Area's First Baptist Church located at 19901 Townsen Blvd E., Humble, Texas 77338 with Rev. Rick Whitaker officiating. Entombment: Rosewood Memorial Park, Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to Humble Area's FBC Building Fund. Our loving thoughts and prayers are with you today and always. Words are just not enough at this time. Time will help to ease the sorrow. I will miss talking to Aunt Doris on the phone and most of all her laugh. She always made me feel happy and loved.
