Mrs. Doris M. Perkins, of Kemah, passed from this life, June 3, 2012. Mrs. Perkins was born in Magnolia Springs, Texas; was a former resident of Silsbee for many years, where she was active in her church and the community; and retired from Kountz ISD. The widow of the late James C. Perkins, she is survived by her daughter, Roslyn Barnett (Carl); sister, Lessie Joy Traylor; grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. Services will be Saturday, June 9, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 625 N 2nd Street in Silsbee, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Kirby Cemetery, under the direction of Mainland Funeral Home of La Marque, Texas.
