They returned to Beaumont in 1946 to make their home where Dorothy began her thirty-five year career with Bethlehem Steel Corporation. She retired in 1984 as Administrative Assistant to the General Manager. She and Howard retired to Rayburn Country and remained there for nineteen years. In 2003, they returned to Beaumont to live where they joined Wesley United Methodist Church and renewed old friendships and made new ones. Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, Howard Young; those who were very special in her life, Kelly Brent, Lori Brent Guilbault, Chester Lee Stark, Patricia Stark, and Donna and Don Breen; and cousins, Sharron, Debbie, Betty, and Joyclyn.
