1928 - 2015 Dorothy Mae Jowers, 86, a lifelong Vidor area resident, passed away on Tuesday March 10, 2015, in Beaumont. She was born on July 31, 1928 in Sour Lake, Texas to her parents Leonard and Olivia Boudreaux Linscomb, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are husband Roy L. Jowers, Sr., one brother, one sister, and one son. Dorothy enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, cooking, traveling, and watching classic television especially The Andy Griffith Show. She also loved spending time with her grandkids. Dorothy was a retired clerk for Woods Supermarket in Vidor. She attended Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Roy L. Jowers, Jr. and William Jowers and wife Cynthia all of Vidor, daughter Deborah Jowers of Beaumont, brother James Linscomb and wife Betty of Beaumont, one granddaughter, Morgan Jowers, and three grandsons. Visitation will be held on Friday March 13, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
