Dorothy Mae Krisher "Dot" Blevins

Dorothy Mae Dot Krisher Blevins, age 78, went to join our Lord on October 2, 2012. Dot was born November 6, 1934, in Logan Beaver County, OK. She resided at Rayburn Country with her husband Henry D. Blevins, of 12 years. Dot retired as a Federal Employee with the U.S. Government for 35 years, in 1990. Her final position was an Administrator for the VA Hospital in Shreveport, LA. She was a member and very active participant of the Lake Rayburn United Methodist Church, The Order of the Eastern Star, the Shrine Ladies Auxiliary, the Ladies Golf Association, and the Rayburn Country Garden Club. She also liked to join the fun of the Ladies Bunco group or playing 42 dominoes with her family and friends. Dot was an amazing, beautiful woman, loved by all that knew her. Her main goal in life was for everyone around her to be happy. She enjoyed family and friends, especially the babies, that she would lovingly rock to sleep. Dot is survived by, her husband, Henry Blevins; daughters, Yvonne Frengel and husband, Rob of Gulfport MS, Katherine Guidry and husband, Glenn of Fannett, TX; sons, Terry Blevins and wife, Linda of Port Arthur, TX, Mike Blevins of Port Arthur. TX, Jimmy Blevins and wife, Angie of Canton, GA, and Louis Blevins and wife, Darlene of Nederland, TX; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; Also, her sister-in-laws, Pat Durbin and husband, Leo of Carl Junction MO; Mary Smith of Carthage, TX, and Sue Smith of Wichita, KS, the Schwartz Cousins of Kansas; Jim and Carol McCormick; Lee and Marilyn Schwartz; Eldon and Betty Schwant; and Pat and Leon Becker; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Preceding Dot in death, was her first husband, Bob Krisher of Rayburn Country, TX; her parents, Galen Schwartz, and Ira & Ruth Smith; her brothers, Harry Smith of Carthage, TX and Don Smith of Witchata, KS. A Memorial Service was held at Lake Rayburn United Methodist Church, on October 5, 2012, where Dot's grand-daughter, Reverend Stephanie Hughes, delivered a beautiful eulogy, commemorating the wonderful life of Dot Blevins.
