Elwood Burlon Warren, 92, of Buna, Texas, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Saturday, March 15, 2014. He was born in Zavalla, Texas on January 28, 1922 and spent most of his life in Buna. Burlon served our country in the U.S. Army during World War ll and was involved in the battle on Saipan. After returning to civilian life, he worked at DuPont in Orange for over 38 years. He loved his farm and spending time gardening and raising cattle. He was also a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Buna. Burlon is survived by four step children and five grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives. He will be missed but he leaves a lasting legacy of a man that was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church, Buna, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 18. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 19, at First Baptist Church, Buna, with interment at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
