Graveside services for Emma Lou Brownlee, 91, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Brownlee died March 25, 2014 at Silsbee Convalescent Center. Emma Lou was born in Call and was a longtime resident of Hardin County. She was retired from the Lumberton Public Library where she was an assistant librarian. Mrs Brownlee is preceded in death by her parents William Samuel and Fannie Lou Bishop Rosser; husband W.E. Bill Brownlee; brothers William Rosser, Neff Rosser, W.S. Rosser and Norman Rosser; sisters Mattie Harrington, Althea Paramore, Inez Grisham, Doris Suitt and Norma Wallace. Survivors include daughters Sharon Wornick and husband Gary of Wildwood and Diane Kane of Glendale NY; granddaughter Kathy Friend and husband Lt. Col. Dan Friend of Woodbridge VA; grandson Jason Wornick and wife Laci of Mount Belvieu; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Memorial contributions honoring Mrs. Brownlee may be made to the Lumberton Public Library.
