1931 - 2016 Frances Court Lamb peacefully entered eternal life with her savior on March 18, 2016. Born on September 8, 1931, a long-time resident of Beaumont and a native of Stafford, Frances was an influential elementary school teacher who touched the lives of over 600 school children for 33 years both at Garfield Elementary in Pasadena and at Amelia Elementary in Beaumont. Frances graduated from Missouri City High School and Sam Houston State University, where she met Charles, her husband for over 30 years. While in school, she was a majorette and football sweetheart. Her baton twirling skills continued throughout her life and she loved performing at local talent shows. She always enjoyed golf, twirling, dominoes, poker, bingo. Frances served as president of her homeowner's association, was member of several church ladies' organizations, and was an active member of the Beaumont Association of Retired Teachers. Traveling was one of her pleasures, having visited Hawaii, Argentina, England, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, and many states in the USA. She loved to enter contest with the Beaumont Enterprise and even won a few, including a recipe contest for her famous Pickled Shrimp and a trip to Dallas to meet JR at Southfork. Survivors include her brother, Charles Vincent Court, Jr. and his wife, Jean; sister, Mary Louise Ivey and her husband, Wayne; daughter, Cynthia Murray and her husband, John; son, Larry Lamb and his wife, Suzanne; grandchildren, Dustin Lamb and his wife, Amanda; Greg Richards, Brad Richards, Wendy Scot and her spouse, Brooke; and great-granddaughter, Samantha Scot. She is preceded in death by her parents, Beulah and Charles Vincent Court, Sr.; husband, Charles Allen Lamb; and siblings, Margaret Mary, and Julius Charles (JC) Court. Her family wishes to give special thanks to Colonial Oaks Sugarland, The Gardens of Bellaire, and Hospice Plus for all the special love, caring hearts, and support to her family. A memorial mass will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 5th Street, Missouri City, with a reception to follow for family and friends. An additional memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with a reception to follow for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to B.A.R.T. (Beaumont Association of Retired Teachers), 2310 Long Street, Beaumont, Texas 77706 or the , P.O. Box 96011, Washington DC 20090.
