Frances Ruth Culver Linthicum, 73, passed away 4/4/13 from cancer, compounded by the additional trauma of a hip fracture. She was the daughter of Vernon and Bernice Culver. Both have passed. Her late husband was David Bruce Linthicum of Port Arthur. She was a delight as Drum Major at French High in 55, 56, & 57. She earned a Bachelor's in Literature and a Master's in Library Science, then taught for almost 3 decades. After retirement, she focused on her favorite pastime, fishing, while living near Sam Rayburn Lake, then later at Bennett Springs, Mo. She was Wonder Woman - so talented at seemingly everything. Everyone loved her and she will be deeply missed by all including: her children, David Bruce Jr.; Jennifer; and by her care-giving daughter, Rachel; son-in-law, Carl; grandchildren, Kasey, Jason, and Emily; as well as by her last living brother, Lee Culver. Frances will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name to the
. God will place her under His angel's wings and she will be at peace in heaven forever. There is a memorial website at: paxmemoriam.com where information, pictures, celebration, and tales of old can be shared.
