Frank James Skibba, age 92, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, in Beaumont. He was born June 17, 1920, in Buhl, Minnesota, to Frank and Augusta Skibba. Frank was a veteran in the United States Army Corps of Engineers, serving in WW II, four of those in the Pacific Theatre. He worked most of his life as district manager for supply companies, including Southerland Lumber Company. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #951, the Interfaith Choir, St. Jude Choir, and the BPM Club of Beaumont. He enjoyed fishing, dominoes, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Augusta Skibba; his wife of 53 years, Frances Marie Skibba; three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by one son, Frank James Skibba and wife, Sally of South Carolina; two daughters, Peggy Marie Mann and husband, Jack of Beaumont, and Anne Ross of Vidor, Texas; four grandchildren, Mark Mann and wife, Wendy of Beaumont, Emily Mann of Beaumont, James Ross of Vidor, and Kenneth Dean Skibba of South Carolina; one great- grandson, Riley Mann of Beaumont. The family would like to express their gratitude to Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Beaumont, and Odyssey Hospice of Beaumont for their excellent care. A gathering of family and friends will begin on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
