George M. Pillsbury, Jr., 88, of Groves, died Friday, January 18, 2013, at Oak Grove Nursing Home. He was born on October 27, 1948, to Hannah Barragree Pillsbury and George Morris Pillsbury, Sr., in Meade, Kansas. Mr. Pillsbury loved gardening, hunting, travel and watching baseball. He was a member of the Metro Lions Club and South Park Masonic Lodge. Mr. Pillsbury is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Henderson and her husband, Gary, of Groves; grandchildren, Jessica Henderson and Christopher Henderson, both of Austin; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Lou Pillsbury; six brothers; and five sisters. A gathering of Mr. Pillsbury's family and friends will be from 3:00p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 2425 Nall Street (FM365), Port Neches. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2013, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
