Gladys Wagner Price, 98, of Nederland, died Friday, December 21, 2012, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born on December 2, 1914, in Nederland, to Clara and Conrad Wagner, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Gladys graduated as Salutatorian from Nederland High School, Class of 1931. She then attended Port Arthur Business College where she earned a degree in bookkeeping. Gladys was owner and operator of a local wholesale distributing business. In her spare time, she also devoted more than forty years serving as a Sunday school teacher for youth and adults in both the Nederland and Port Arthur area Baptist churches. Survivors include her nieces, Connie Berry of Beaumont, Dian Vickers, Jeanelle Street, and Judy Radcliff, all of Nederland; nephew, Butch Arsement of Fannett; four step-grandchildren; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty-eight years, Walter Price; three brothers; two sisters. A gathering of Mrs. Price's family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 24, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 1911 Nederland Avenue, Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
