Henry Harvey Hank Glover, 87 of Newton, Texas died on Nov. 6, 2012 at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Newton. He was born on Sept. 18, 1925 in Westlake, La. and had lived in Newton for the past 10 years. He was a retired supervisor with Conoco Oil and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Elayne Glover of Newton, sons, Rodney Glover of Conroe, Tx, Henry H. Glover Jr. of Lake Charles, La. and Roger Burgess of Sulphur, La., daughters, Denise Martin of DeQuincy, La. and Barbie Strauss of Newton, grandchildren, Mariah Martin, Jebediah martin, Eric Gwatney, Bret Burgess, Josh Burgess, Megan Leboeuf and Clint Martin and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul H. Glover Sr. and Amanda Nick Glover, brothers, John K. Glover, Paul H. Glover Jr. and Daniel N. Glover, and sister, Ruth Glover Simmons. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Newton. Funeral services will be on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Burkeville United Mehtodist in Burkeville, Texas with burial to follow at the Toledo Bend Cemetery.
