Hazel W. Showman, 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, in a local hospital. She was born in Orange, Tx and lived in Beaumont for the past 45 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Showman; daughter, Sharon Jacobs Odom; and grandson, Kevin LeBlanc. Survivors include one son, Rodney Jacobs and wife, Bobbie of Fields; two daughters, Kim Showman of Vidor, Tx and Debbie Tutton and husband, Jimmy of Spurger, Tx.; one brother, James Goddard and wife, Betty of Deweyville, Tx; three sisters, Christine Oberacker of Sulphur, Lottie Burks and husband, Lonnie of Devil's Pocket, Tx., and Bobbie Pierce of DeQuincy; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, September 28, 2012, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Hixson Snider Funeral Home Chapel, and continue on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, in the Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Taylor officiating.
