1941 - 2015 Hugh Bevil Means was born September 27, 1931, in Saratoga, Texas to the late Hugh B. and Athia Means. He was called home to meet the Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. He was preceded in death by siblings E.B. Means and Lena Faye Coward. He proudly served his country during the Korean War and was decorated with numerous medals, including two Bronze stars during his tenure in the Army with the 865 AAA AW BN SP. He is survived by wife Vicki Means of Smithville, Texas; four step-children, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four nieces, and a host of extended relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the and Texas Home Health Hospice of Austin, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Enon Baptist Church, 9418 FM 1745, Chester, Texas. Services will immediately follow visitation and burial will commence at Holland Cemetery in Kountze, Texas.
