Ignacia Tamayo was born July 2, 1931, at Jesus Maria Ranch, near Hebbronville, Texas, and she went to meet her Lord Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the age of 81. She was a very loving, caring, and giving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose kindness encompassed all who came into contact with her. Ignacia was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church for thirty-five years, where she participated in the RCIA program and a Eucharistic Minister. Her faith in Our Lord and the Virgen de Guadalupe was a shining example for her family to follow. Survivors include her children, Cynthia Tamayo; Celina Valdez and her husband, Vicente; J.F. Tamayo and his wife, Carla; Yolanda Tamayo; Richard Tamayo and his wife, Mary; Mary Godina and her husband, Ernie; and Cristy Oliver and her husband, David; only surviving sibling, Julia Munoz; grandchildren, Danny and his wife, Michele; Jesse and his girlfriend, Kelli; Paul and his wife, Jennifer; Brittany; Vicente, Jr.; Alex; Cris; Solana; and Madisen; and nine great-grandchildren. Ignacia is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Tamayo. A gathering of Mrs. Tamayo's family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2012, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
