Ima Bean Fletcher Low Clark, 97, of Newton, Texas, died on May 8, 2012, at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Newton. She was born on Aug. 20, 1914, in Jasper, and was a longtime resident of Newton. She was a retired teacher and principal from NISD and was the the owner of Fletcher's Boutique in Newton. She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Bee Bean Burkett of Kirbyville, Janine Bean Watson and husband, Phil of Flower Mound, TX, and Mark Donaldson Bean and wife, Lydia of Newton; 6 great nieces and nephews; and 4 great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Stephenson and Edna Cora Barrow Bean; sister, Edith Bean Walker; brother, Ira Stephenson Bean, Jr.; and nephews, Ira Stephenson Bean, III and Charles Burkett. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home in Newton. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Newton, with burial to follow at the Newton City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Newton Cemetery Association, Newton, TX.
