Jacob Wayne Wheeler, age 20, was born December 8, 1993 in Jasper, Texas, to parents, Wayne and Leah Shaw Wheeler of Kirbyville. Jacob was a 2013 graduate of Kirbyville High School. While attending high school, Jacob especially enjoyed Building Trades and Auto Mechanics Shop under direction of Bill Brockman and Les Gatewood. Jacob was baptized at Roganville Baptist Church and was a member of the church. Jacob loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing in a stream, pond or lake. He often was seen going to the city pond pulling a cooler with his rod and reel behind his wheelchair. Another outdoor passion was hunting and from this love he was awarded a hunting trip by Texas Outdoor C.H.I.L.D. and was able to experience the excitement of bagging an Axis Deer. The Axis mount was one of his prize possessions. In addition to his parents left to cherish Jacob's memory are: Sister-Erin Elizabeth Wheeler, Nephew- Karson Wayne Wheeler, Uncles - David Wheeler and wife Samantha of Kirbyville, Shelby Shaw and wife Dawn of Huntsville, and Aunt - Maggie Wheeler of Buna. Grandparents: Perry Shaw of Kirbyville, Mary Eaves, Jerry Whitehead, and Kenneth Wheeler all of Buna. Great-grandparents: Mary Nell and Howard Eaves and Dorothy Wheeler of Buna. Jacob, also, leaves behind numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of close friends and former classmates. Jacob was proceeded in death by his brother Chance Alan Wheeler, who also had Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, Maternal grandmother, Kae Moody Shaw, Great-grandparents, Anniece and John T. Moody, Creola and W. O. Shaw and Jacob Bryant Wheeler. A Celebration of Life Service to be held at Central Baptist Church on Friday, March 28 at 4 pm with interment at Davis Cemetery, Beulah Springs under the direction of Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
