James Burrell Williams James Burrell Williams, 70 of Newton died on Nov. 11, 1013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born on Sep. 12, 1943 in Center, Texas and had lived in Newton since 1945. He was a 1962 graduate of Newton High School and was owner of Newton Log Homes. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Williams of Newton, children, James Jared Williams and wife, Wendi of Newton, Nathan Neal Williams of Arlington, Tx and Hillary Noelle Davis and husband, Jeremy of Newton, sisters, Eleanor Rose Meek of Newton and Marjorie Green and husband, Carroll of DeRidder, La., grandchildren, Tarryn, Colton, Caitlin, Noah, Nate, Madelin and Samuel and his mother-in-law, Mary Alice Debney of Jasper, Tx. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurel Paige Williams, parents, Claude and Eleanor Williams and father-in-law, Alfred Debney. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Newton. Funeral services will be on thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Newton with burial to follow at the Newton City Cemetery.
