1964-2015 In loving memory of our friend, father, husband, and hero, we announce the passing of James Edward Rich who died in his home surrounded by his family on May 15, 2015. James was born July 29, 1964 in Beaumont, Texas-a place that cultivated his trademark independence and endearing sense of rebellion. James held an eighth-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a first-degree black belt in Weeping Style Jujitsu. As the owner of James Rich's Taekwondo in Knoxville, James was the principled, honorable, and devoted effigy to so many children and families in the Knoxville and Taekwondo community. James led us to be strong; he pushed us to be great. With unrivaled tenacity and indomitable spirit, James battled an aggressive cancer that had already spread throughout his body when he was diagnosed in January 2015. We look to James for guidance and grit, for stability and security-all of which he exhibited to his final breath. James Rich is survived by his wife, April, and his two daughters, Madison and Bailey. A celebration of his life will be held late this summer. Donations in honor of James Rich can be made to the Provision CARES Foundation Patient Assistance Fund (http://www.provisioncares.org/donate/). Today, we grieve the death of a rebellious warrior, a loving father, and an irreplaceable friend. Arrangements by Cremation Options, Inc. (865)6WE-CARE(693-2273)www.cremationoptionsinc.com
