James Jim Erskine Laudig, age 65, died Friday, March 08, 2013 in Beaumont, Texas. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Sliger officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2013 and one hour prior to the graveside service on Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Laudig was born in Beaumont, TX to the late Joseph B. and Hazel Agnes Beall Laudig on August 7, 1947. He graduated from French High School in 1965 and then graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake campus in 1976. Jim proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and volunteered and served as the treasurer for the Gideon's International in Beaumont. Jim worked for Rexel Incorporated for the past 32 years. Jim is survived by his wife Jo Ellen Laudig, two sons Scott Laudig and his wife Vicki and Jay Laudig and his wife Kate. Two brothers, Don Laudig and his wife Norma Jean and Mike Laudig and his wife Kay. As well as two grandchildren, Melissa and Sarah Laudig and numerous nieces and nephews.
