James Robert Ford, 73, of Sour Lake, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at his residence. James was born February 8, 1939, in Freeport, Texas, to James Linder and Dorothy (Evans) Ford. A resident of Sour Lake for the past twenty-four years, he was a retired senior pipeline technician with Dow Pipeline for thirty-three years. He was a member of Grayburg Baptist Church and a 32nd degree Mason and member of the El Mina Shrine. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. James is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Marie Ford of Sour Lake; sister-in-law, Patricia Dare and her husband, Bruce of Angleton; brother-in-law, Frank Farrow and his wife, Theresa of Diboll; aunts, LaNelle Mohler, Jessie Lee Jordan, Juanita Johnston, and Nancy Serbanich; one niece; four nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, March 25, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Broussard's, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012, at Angleton Cemetery, 328 Cemetery Road, Angleton, Texas. Complete and updated information may be found at: broussards1889.com.
