Jeannine Aiena, 66, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 26, 2012, after a ten year battle with Scleroderma at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on December 31, 1945, in Galveston, to Thelma and Robert Smith, and had been a longtime resident of the area. Jeannine enjoyed quilting and loved her grandchildren. Jeannine is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Frank Aiena, Jr.; daughter, Sondra Soper and her husband, Doug, of Beaumont; sons, Frank Aiena III and his wife, Connie, of Silsbee; and Robert Aiena of Houston; grandchildren, Amanda Terry, Haley Ferguson, Peyton Soper, Taryn Soper, Kelsi Aiena, Kolby Aiena, Kolton Aiena, and Kristen Dickerson; great-grandchildren, Landen Terry, Brooks Terry, and Emma Landry; and brother, Tommy Smith and his wife, Frankie. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bobby Smith. A gathering of Mrs. Aiena's family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
