Memorial service for Jerry Dexter Bibby 72, of Brookeland will be held at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper with fellowship to follow. Jerry died at his residence at November 17, 2013 a native of Gorman, Texas. A U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran former resident of Orange. He was owner of the first disco in South East Texas. The Lighthouse Disco of Nederland. Jerry was a retired electronic technician. He was very active volunteer with the Lufkin V.A. Hospital. He enjoyed being a driver that made sure the Veterans had a way back and forth to Dr. Appointments. He was a pilot and loved to fly planes and helicopters. Jerry was survived by his wife Barbara; son Brian Bibby and fiancé, Jodie, of Brookeland; daughter Jerri Bibby of Jasper; nephew Jeremy Bibby of Breckenridge, TX; niece Marie Bibby of California, grandchild Dexter Kordell Bibby of Jasper.
