1953 - 2016 John Arnold Taylor, affectionately known as Johnny transitioned from mortality to immortality, July 26, 2016 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Johnny was born May 8, 1953 in Miami, Florida to the late Arnold Leon and Mary Katherine Taylor. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Ronald Taylor. Johnny served his country in the United States Army and worked for the Postal Service for 28 years. His most recent and loved job was that of a professional Paw Paw to his grandchildren whom he loved and adored. Johnny was a good man that leaves a legacy of giving his all and loving with all of his heart. He leaves and unforgettable mark of love in the hearts of so many young people and would do anything in his power to make them happy. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home. A public viewing will be from 12 Noon until 5:00 p.m. Friday at Mercy Funeral Home, and from 9-11:00 at the church on Saturday. He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife whom he adored, Casita Ruez Taylor, the children they raised, Jaime Clark (W. J.), James Briggs (Carmen) and Chavonne Williams (Brandon); his brothers, Robert Taylor and Joseph Taylor; his grandchildren, J.J., Jaiden, Kirsten, Pop, B., Jhavon, Tygi, Amari and Janari; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
