John Richard Green, 71, of Beaumont, went to meet his heavenly Father on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. John was born on May 5, 1941, to Meda Lucile Shaw Green and Clarence Green. He was a lifelong resident of Beaumont, graduated from South Park High School, served in the United States Marine Corps, and later retired from Frito Lay, Inc. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Loretta Young Green; sons, Randy Green and his wife, Liz, of Silsbee and Michael Green and his wife, Jennifer, of Lumberton; brothers, Larry Green and his wife, Kathy, of Carrollton and Kenneth Green and his wife, Diane, of Kirbyville; granddaughter, Kaianna Green of Lumberton; five step-grandchildren, Dustin, Cole, Zachary, Michele & Major; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2012, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
