John Webster Weisel, 80, entered into eternal rest, June 28th, 2012. Born in Canton, OH on 9/24/31 and a resident of Houston since 1998, John is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Juanita (Burrell); daughters, Becky Black (husband, Edward) of Houston, Cindy Turcu (husband, Cornell) of Cleveland, OH, and Lisa Brown of Cleveland, OH. He is also survived by his dear sister, Jean Paar of Canton, OH; caring sister-in-law, Zita Colgan (husband Patrick) of Cleveland OH; and brother-in -law, Jack Burrell of Tomball. John is also survived by grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Carley, Sarah, Jessica, and Alison; and eight nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Webster Weisel and his sister, Lucille Catoline. John was a Korean War Veteran. John grew up in Canton, Ohio, and attended Lincoln HS. After graduating from Case Institute of Technology and The Ohio State University, John was a chemical engineer for B F Goodrich Chemical Co. and its subsidiaries. His career included assignments in Ohio, West Virginia, Texas, as well as international assignments. After John's last assignment in Port Neches, he and Juanita retired to Houston. There will be a memorial service for John in Cleveland, OH at a date to be determined. In John's memory, donations can be made to The Abbey of Gethsemani, 3642 Monks Rd, Trappist, KY 40051. 502/ 549 - 4406.
