Julian M. Gonzales, 80, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013. He was born on October 17, 1932, in Caplen, to Juanita Chavez Gonzales and Jose Mercedes Gonzales. Julian was a graduate of St. Anthony High School, Beaumont. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Julian was a receiving supervisor at Texas State Optical and retired after thirty-five years of service. Survivors include his sisters, Delphine Espinoza and her husband, Alex and Carmen Tijerina, all of Beaumont; brother, Alfred Gonzales and his wife, Lillie, of Beaumont; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Jose I. Gonzales and Luis Gonzales; and sister, Juanita Munoz. A gathering of Mr. Gonzales' family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
