1919-2015 Julius Jimmy Earl Lucas, 95, died Sunday May 31, 2015 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Sicly Island, LA June 7, 1919, the son of John and Mary (Sumrall) Lucas. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Patsy (Aslin) Lucas; son Daniel Wilkinson and wife Lynn; daughter Janet (Wilkinson) Belmont and husband Thom; at least twenty grandchildren and multiple great and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents; brothers Edward, Cecil, Willie, and Zach; sisters Ollie, Alice, his twin Evelyn, and another sister that died in childhood; son Robert Earl Lucas; daughter Joyce Evelyn Lucas. He sat down once to write all the different jobs he had and came up with one hundred and four. So I guess you can say he was a man with many talents. He served in the Army as a private during WWII. His passion in his later years was gardening. He grew many wonderful tomatoes. A funeral service will not be held. He donated his body to education and research through MedCure. There will be a gathering of family at a later date.
