Larry W. Seamans, 63, of Colmesneil, passed away, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Colmesneil with burial in Seamans Cemetery in Chester, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville. Larry was born September 14, 1949 to Ernest Wilbert Joe & Oma Faye Comte Seamans in Woodville, Texas. Larry was superintendent of maintenance with Triple S Industrial Corporation for over twenty years. He loved his family and never met a stranger. He loved children and encouraged all their efforts, especially in the community of Colmesneil. Larry had a love for working his place, his land, and all of his various tools in his collection. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Seamans in 2009. Larry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sammie Seamans of Colmesneil; son, Lance Seamans & wife, Heather of Colmesneil; mother, Faye Seamans of Colmesneil; grandchildren, Erin Seamans & Emilee Ozment; sisters in law, Deborah Palumbo & husband, Mark of Seabrook, & Virginia Lowrance & husband, Tom of Beaumont. The Seamans family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Angela Adkins & husband, Dr. Omead Abbassi of Pearland, Texas. The family expresses their gratitude to Dr. Howard Rubin (Head Coach), Larry's physician, friend & cardiologist. The family also thanks the caring staff at Methodist Hospital.
