Linus Joseph Daigle, 88, of Beaumont, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Church Point, Louisiana, to Ida Carrier Daigle and Laurent Daigle, on January 29, 1925. He had been a resident of the area since 1952 and a World War II Army veteran receiving a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Survivors include his daughter, Pam Craigen and her husband, Alvin; son, John Daigle; and brother, Herbert Daigle and his wife, Mary Nell, all of Fannett; and sister, Theresa Beaugh and her husband, Roy, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eurella Daigle; and sons, James Daigle and Carl Daigle. A Rosary for Mr. Daigle will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with military honors to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
