1921 - 2015 Lola Dee Myers died unexpectedly and peacefully on October 28, 2015 in Refugio, Texas at the age of 94. Lola is survived by her three sons Brian Fillinqirn of Vidor, TX, Gary Myers (Linda) of Belleville, TX and Terry Myers (Linda) of Belleville, TX. She} is preceded in death by her parents William and Bette McCreight, two brothers Walter and Gail and one sister Besse, along with her late husband Preston Myers. She has 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren Lola was born on August 8,1921 in the rural community of Batson, TX. She moved to Refugio with her husband in the mid 1970's and has lived there since. She has been employed as a telephone switchboard operator, school administrative clerk and at the Refugio County Tax Assessors office. She was a member of the Refugio First Baptist Church, Refugio VFW Post 6290 Ladies Auxiliary and the Refugio Country Memorial Hospital Volunteer Ladies Organization. Lola was instrumental in establishing the Williamson Senior Center and went often to visit friends. She enjoyed playing golf in her younger days and most importantly dominoes. A funeral is scheduled for 3 pm November 1 at Moore Funeral Home, with a reception to follow. T Wayne Price will officiate the ceremony. Pallbearers will be Vic Wazel, Rindle Wilson, Kenneth Wright, Bubba Nixon, Todd Steele and Neal Tucker. Honorary pall bearer is Bob Dillard. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lola's life.
