Louetta Jennings Martens, 89, formerly of Sabine Pass and Beaumont, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at Heritage Living Center in Conway, Arkansas. She was born on July 14, 1923, to Lizzie Guidry Jennings and Hammond B. Jennings in Port Arthur. Mrs. Martens grew up in Sabine Pass and moved to Beaumont in the late 1950s. In 2003, she relocated to Conway, Arkansas, to be closer to her family. Mrs. Martens enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Caldwell and her husband, Brian, of Conway, Arkansas; granddaughter, Rachael Caldwell of Conway, Akansas; and grandson, Shannon Caldwell of Sugar Land. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Bill Allen Martens; and grandson, Christopher Allen Patranella. A Rosary for Mrs. Martens will be recited at 6:00 p.m., followed by a gathering of her family and friends, Friday, June 14, 2013, at Broussards, 505 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
