Lucille Deason, 97, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born on January 2, 1916, to Mary Goldman Marietta Trahin and Joseph Trahin. Lucille worked at Singer Sewing Machine before working for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Deason of Beaumont and Bettie Turnpin and her husband, Jack, of Kingwood; grandsons, David Paul Reyes, Michael McCarley, and Robert McCarley; granddaughter, Julie Trimmel; great-grandchildren, Phillip Reyes, Ashley McCarley, Collin McCarley, Kate McCarley, Carley Trimmel, Mckensie Trimmel, and Jade Trimmel; family friend and caretaker, Wilda Nobis; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip Paul Deason; daughter, Mary Jo Reyes; and grandson, Raymond Todd Reyes. A gathering of Mrs. Deason's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dorothy Broussard and Ruth Sloan for all of their care and compassion.
