With an unwavering love for God, he served as Minister of Music, Youth, Associate Pastor and Business Administrator in Southern Baptist Churches in Texas, South Carolina, and Kentucky for 33 years. One of Pierce's greatest joys was singing with his wife and family. In his last several years as an active member of Castle Hills First Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX, he loved to sing in the choir and praise team. Pierce was instrumental in the planning stages for the High Point Academy Charter Schools in Spartanburg, SC and Fort Worth, TX. The Spartanburg school has been state approved and will open Fall 2014. Pierce's passion was the aquaponics and hydroponics lab that the school is preparing to set up. There will be a memorial service at Calvary Baptist Church, 3650 Dowlen Rd, Beaumont, TX 77706, on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 11:00 am.
