1931 - 2014 Funeral services for Marie Stanton Coleman will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in Townsend Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 8 at the funeral home. Marie died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. A native of San Augustine County she was a longtime Brookeland, TX resident. A longtime member of the Bronson Chapter order of the Eastern Star. Marie was a worker who worked for many years with Japer business's such as Gipsons, Matthew-Millers, Candy Cleaners and Catfish Cabin. She always had her beautiful white hair fixed and would greet you with an equally beautiful smile. She enjoyed hand quilting, gardening and canning and was a model of the Virtious woman in the Bible. She loved her family. Survivors include her husband of 66 years Albert Coleman of Brookeland, TX; four daughters Reedie Faye Elliott & husband Welden of Hemphill, Eunice Marie Bailey & husband Huey of Woodville, Fay Rhame & husband Doyle of Bronson, TX, Kay Rolland & husband Scott of Brookeland; one brother James Stanton & wife Jean of Buffalo, TX, one sister Sue Bobbitt of Pineland; Marie was also survived by a host of grand, great grand children and other family & friends.
