1921 - 2014 Marjorie Elizabeth Craddock Winberg was born June 22, 1921, in Navasota, Texas to Ruby Matthews Craddock and Thomas Craddock. Her early education was there and completed in Crosby and Houston. Business school came later to complete her formal education. In 1939, she married Nolan Wallace Winberg, whom she met in Beaumont where they later made their home. They celebrated their 56th anniversary before his death in December of 1995. She put her education to use when they opened their own business. She kept books and did secretarial work. They sold the business and retired in 1966. Later after moving back to Beaumont from living at the farm full time, Marjorie became a Mary Kay Director. There were several great interests that she held and devoted herself to. One was the teaching of reading and English to international adults at First Baptist Church. This was a great joy for her. Also, oil painting began to take more of her time as she studied and took lessons becaming a very good artist. She had a number of one-man shows throughout southeast Texas. However, in 1995 her three daughters retired to the Hill Country and took her for this new adventure. She added several more interests to her activities along with many new friends. The Senior Ladies Singing Choir at First Baptist Church Boerne had a great time and performed for many groups with overwhelming approval. She also started gardening and landscaping her new home and became well versed in Hill Country vegetation and care. She enjoyed entertaining her new friendships on her patio overlooking her lovely yard, a perfect place to view Boerne's July 4th fireworks. Marjorie is survived by her three daughters: Lorraine Carswell and husband Paul, Marjorie Grier and husband Charles and Judy Frost. Four grandchildren: Rob Carswell and wife Barbara, Amy Barclay and husband Brent, Matt Grier and wife Wendy, Jill Siegal and husband Daniel. Nine great grandchildren: Whitney Carswell DeShan and husband Tony, Allie Carswell Fouse and husband Justin, Jeff and Steven Carswell, Katherine, Harrison and Ben Barclay, Noah and Zander Siegal. Three great great grandsons: Parker, Hudson and Brady DeShan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Wallace Winberg and grandson, Mark Grier.
